The Scottish Government is currently seeking views on its refreshed Good Practice Principles for Community Benefits from Onshore Renewable Energy.

The updated working paper outlines new proposals aimed at strengthening national guidance on how communities can benefit from onshore renewable developments, including fund levels, governance, and support for local decisionmaking. Communities, stakeholders, and interested groups are encouraged to review the proposals and share their feedback.

 The working paper is seeking community views on policy proposals relating to:
             
The technologies in scope of the Good Practice Principles, and the approach to co-located developments.
The community benefit fund levels recommended by the Good Practice Principles.
Principles and guidance for the governance and distribution of community benefit funds.
Measures to support communities and build their capacity to engage with and fully benefit from community benefit funds.
