Highland Rural Short Term Let Control Area Consultation

In February 2026 the Highland Council’s Economy and Infrastructure Committee agreed to undertake a consultation on the designation of a Highland Rural Short Term Let Control Area.

This consultation stage is to seek views of the residents, businesses and communities about the proposal. The responses will be reported back to the Council for their consideration.

This consultation is open from 12th May 2026 until 23rd June 2026 at 5pm.

There will be a Q&A/Drop in Portree Community Centre 25 May: 2:00pm until 7:30pm.
