Christmas Raffle 2024
HAVE YOU BOUGHT YOURS YET?
Tickets are now on sale for this year's Christmas Raffle draw, which will take place on -
Saturday 21st December at 12 noon
and once again the event will be live-streamed via our YouTube channel direct from Raffle HQ, aka Judi's kitchen.
Raffle tickets cost £1 each, and of course you may buy as many as you like - the more you buy, the more chance you have of winning a prize. You can purchase tickets online, if you use online banking, or in person if you'd sooner pay cash. If you wish to purchase online, to receive payment instructions just send an email with your name and contact number to: raffle@waternishhall.com , and put 'Raffle Tickets' in the subject field. If you wish to buy in person, you may do so from one of the following outlets:
- Dunvegan Post Office;
- Judi's house in Halistra on Waternish;
- Frank's house in Stein on Waternish;
- Dunvegan Hall Christmas Fayre on Saturday December 7th;
- Waternish Hall at the Carol Singing evening on December 11th.
If buying from Judi or Frank, please phone first using the contact details below, to make sure someone is in when you call. Dandelion Designs in Stein will also be selling tickets during the next Waternish Festive Shopping Weekend, on 14th and 15th December.
The total number of prizes we are giving away this year is increasing day by day - at present the number is approaching 80 - so many thanks to all those companies and individuals who have already generously donated. An up-to-date list is shown below, but a brief summary includes the following items:
- a fleece from Skyeskyns;
- a freshly made pizza meal for 4, delivered to your own home (click here for details);
- a crate of beer from the Isle of Skye Brewery;
- a bottle of Talisker whisky
- many more items, including alcoholic drinks, confectionery, jewellery and household goods;
We are able to accept donations right up until the day before the raffle, so there is still time to donate a prize if you wish - remember that last year we gave away well over 100 prizes! You can either take items to Judi at 10 Halistra (if no-one's in, please place them in the bin outside the front door), or else contact one of us using the details below, and we can arrange collection.
Finally, as many of you know, as a small charity the Hall faces a constant challenge to raise funds to finance its running costs. It's only through the generosity of local businesses and individuals who support our fund raising activities, such as the Christmas Raflle, that we are able to keep the Hall open. Last year's raffle was the most successful in the short history of the event, so let's hope that, with your support, this year's will be equally, if not more, successful.
