Privacy Policy
This website has been created to communicate information about the Waternish Community Hall and other local events, and not for the collection of private or personal information from visitors. The website uses cookies to enable it to work properly. There are also some third party applications built into the website which create cookies on visitors' hardware. If you wish to find out more about what cookies are, or how to control or delete them, then we recommend you visit the following website for more information: AboutCookies.org
In accordance with guidelines from the Information Commissioner's Office we currently operate an ‘implied consent’ policy which means that we assume you are happy with the usage of cookies on this website. If this is not the case, then you should either not use this site, or you should delete the cookies after your visit, or you should adjust your browser’s settings to disable cookies. If you do the latter, then some parts of the website will not work correctly: for example, you will not be able to send an email from the form on the Contacts page.
The list below describes the cookies we use on this site and what we use them for.
First Party Cookies These are cookies that are set by this website directly:
- Cookie Policy Widget – a cookie is set by this widget to note if you confirm acceptance;
- Contact Page – a cookie is set by the email form to enable the spam filter to work correctly;
Third Party Cookies These are cookies set by external websites whose services are used on this site:
- statcounter.com – a cookie is set by all pages for visitor number statistical purposes
- google.com – a cookie is set on various pages for location map preference purposes
You may wish to check the policies of the above external websites to see how exactly they use your information and to find out how to opt out, or delete, such information.
All first time visitors to the website, or returning visitors who have deleted cookies since their previous visit, will see the 'cookie widget' in the bottom left-hand corner of their browser window, to remind them of our Privacy Policy. If the user clicks on the green 'Yes, I accept' arrow, then the widget will minimise itself and a small green triangle will remain. If the user clicks on the 'No, I don't accept' red cross, then they will be directed away from the website.
